Drugs Payment Scheme The Drugs Payment scheme is a scheme where individuals or families only pay a maximum monthly amount for all prescribed drugs, medicines or appliances they use.
Prescription charges for medical card holders Since 1 October 2010, people with medical cards pay a 50 cent charge for medicines that they get on prescription from pharmacies, up to a maximum of €10 per month.
